A SLOW BURN rivals/enemies to lovers [read desc]
Hi everyone, I’m looking for a new book to read, so I thought it may be helpful for me to list some of my likes and dislikes. Huge thanks to anyone who has suggestions 🙂
Like:
-deep, nuanced characters
-psychological tension, conflicting/confusing feelings
-competent leads
-engaging prose that is character driven, pref with rlly intentional word choice if that makes sense!
\-any story w interesting hypotheticals or thought experiments, but this is not necessary!
Not For Me:
\-any innocent girl/alpha male dynamics or infantilizing behavior from female charas
\-quick resolutions
\-very flat prose
\-plots that are heavily action driven, as in most of the plot has to do with things happening in the universe instead of the characters and their relationships etc
As for time periods, settings, etc i’m open to anything! i’m particularly partial to sci-fi, medieval, or just regular world settings, but again open to anything. feel free to ask any questions if u have them!
