I'm looking for novel recommendations (either adult or YA) that have a prominent adult character (protag, antihero, love interest, villain are all fine) named Jack. Specifically, either Jack from fairy tales/folklore (Jack with the beans, Jack the blacksmith tricking the Devil, and so on, examples: Fable comics, Charles de Lint books, the Treachery of Beautiful Things) or a Jack who fits the fairy tale everyman trope even if it NOT intentional or stated (examples: The Shining, for instance, but even moreso Repairman Jack is a very folkloric Jack IMO as a clever reluctant hero facing Otherworldly forces).
If you're not sure it fits but still know a major character named Jack, I still want to hear that please! Can you point me to some Jacks? Preferably in sci-fi, fantasy, horror, weird, magical. Romance whether gay, straight, or whatever is also ok if still speculative too. Any gender is fine so long as character is named or nicknamed Jack.
Bonus points for a combo of moral ambiguity + heart of gold. But anything goes.
Thanks!
