kind of nit picky title – sorry. i’m watching night agent on netflix and i love how peter and rose’s relationship has so much trust cause they kept each other alive in season 1 and i want a book with this kind of well earned, not cheesy, not forced romantic sub plot. and i like spy stuff lol

The Company of Strangers by Robert Wilson
Alan Furst novels, very well written but compared to Le Carre he ups the romance and tones down the opaqueness.
Red Sparrow trilogy is really good
