I was wondering if, for you all, when there's a book you were recommended but really don't enjoy, do you finish it for finishing's sake or do you stop reading? And how do you make that call?
I'm about 6/8ths done with an unenjoyable book and I'm quite ambivalent about what to do.

I dont read what I dont enjoy. If im not enjoying it, ill drop it like a hot potato. Theres plenty of stuff out there i would enjoy. Life’s too short to waste time on stuff I dont like.
I stop reading if I’m not enjoying it, regardless of whether I’m two pages into it or 3/4 of the way done with it. Life is too short to force yourself to do something you don’t enjoy!
Life’s too short and there are too many books to read! A lot of times I’ll abandon a book and then pick it up later to read and enjoy it. There’s so many external factors for liking a book, sometimes it’s what you read before that decides how much you can get into the next one. Just like I won’t watch a recommended show if I’m not feeling it, I do the same with books.
I’ll give a book 100 pages and if I still hate it by then it’s out of my life
I have this issue with audio books I’ve paid for. It’s torture!
