I’m intrigued to know what you’re reading?
I just finished up reading “On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft” by Stephen King, which I found so informative and helpful, that I got a little feral with the stick tabs!
This afternoon I started reading “How to Kill a Witch: A Guide for the Patriarchy” by Claire Mitchell and Zoe Venditozzi. It’s all about the Scottish witch trials and their Witches of Scotland campaign and podcast.

I’ve started reading daydream by Hannah Grace
Currently reading:
Last days by Adam Neville
The historian by Elizabeth kostova
I am reading It Can’t Happen Here (1930s) by Sinclair Lewis about the US falling into fascism and am disturbed by the similarities to the current political situation.
I’m working through Clan of the Cave Bear after seeing a thread on this sub a month or two ago about how the early entries of the series were fun, and I’m finding it tough going because of the sheer amount of weird almost conspiracy level stuff going on in the author (not character) voice. I have some qualms with the ease it buys into concepts like genetic memory, mystical savage “intrinsic harmony with nature” stuff and, you know, implications of telepathy among the Cro-magnons…
On Writing is fantastic. I juat finished Slaughterhouse 5 yesterday, I’m about to start Hidden Pictures next. Just bought a bunch more that I’m excited to start, too.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and The Stranger
I’m working my way through the Dark Tower for the first time. I just finished the 4th book, Wizard and Glass, on Friday and I’m at the start of Wolves of the Calla now. I’m really enjoying my time with these books, and plan to read On Writing at some point, as I’ve heard so many good things about it!
‘Padre Pio: Miracles and Politics in a Secular Age’ by Sergio Luzzato.
I’m Catholic and am surrounded by people who love him but I’ve never been fully convinced by him tbh. So just trying to read up on him from multiple perspectives and learn more. He’s an interesting man for sure.
As it’s the first of the month, I read the March chapter in my 2026 seasonal guide almanac. I read a chapter each month so it’ll last me all year. Alongside that I’m listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl #1 on audible, which is bonkers. Current physical book is North Woods by Daniel Mason and I was enjoying it until I got to a detailed description of beetles having s*x which gave me the ick!
Right now I’m physically reading Don DeLillo’s Underworld, only a few chapters in but loving it so far, just stunningly good prose.
On audiobook I’m about halfway through the Malazan Book of the Fallen series, I’ll be finishing book 5 in the next few days. My favorite fantasy that I’ve read in a long long time, I could easily see this being my new number 1 by time it’s done
Nero by Conn Iggulden, many digital audiobooks.
I’ve been on a horror kick. Reading Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer.
