Hello everyone.
So I seem to enjoy the first chapters of Outlander the most.
Claire is a compelling character here, there's mysticism and lore her and her husband encounter as strangers in the place they came to. Her relationship with Frank is healthy and there's chemistry between them.
I love her talking about the past, her own past and her being a war nurse, and all the talks about their future plans. Also she's sassy and smart, but not yet a mary sue that she gives off a bit later. I'll not even talk about her becomeing a doctor. I get it but I'm also personally offended. Joking, or kaybe not.
Those few chapters are charming and real and close to my heart.
I'm wondering if anyone would have book recommendations similar as a whole to these few non timetraveling chapters? I just love that vibe so much.
Honestly, stories about WW2 and post war nurses would be appreciated as well, but mostly looking for the same vibe as those post war chapters.
