Early space exploration

Hello all!

I’m finishing up the Sun Eater series, one of my first entries into sci-fi, and looking for a book series that focuses on the early era of space exploration. Preferably something that is just going beyond our solar system but I’m open to earlier/later if it’s a great series.

I like tech heavy explanations, colonization, war and company/colony/empire building. Id prefer if it’s a little less focused on politics or court drama but elements of that are perfectly fine.

Currently reading Leviathan Wakes and enjoying it. Read to book 4 in Bobverse and book 2 of Red Rising before stopping those.
