I haven’t been obsessed with a romantasy book in so long and I need book recs please. To be fair I think I am a bit burnt out from the genre but also everything that has been published lately has been straight ass. I need tension, YEARNING, a true slow burn, compelling well written
characters, and an actual plot that isn’t left on the back burner for smut. Say what you will about ACOTAR and TOG but nothing has been able to compare.
Some of my other favorite romantasy books to give you guys an idea for what Im looking for: Fairydale, Heartless Hunter, In the Veins of the Drowning, The Knight and The Moth, The Bridge Kingdom, Dance of Thieves.
I have been DNFing so many books lately. The writing is atrocious and the editing is non existent. I just want a book to be obsessed with and Im starting to question if I even like this genre anymore.
