I am looking for something similar as “Love in the Time of Cholera”

Good morning. As the title says, I’m looking for something similar—something that expresses:

"Right now, we’re not the best we can be together. Let’s grow. And if destiny brings us together again, may it be better."

I know there are millions of books with that kind of theme, but it’s not really my usual reading area, so any recommendations with a bit of context would be perfect!
