Recently I've been thinking about making a visual novel for my friends and I taking place in Japan during the early aughts, but I realized I don't know about this time period that much and I'd like to learn more. I've also been thinking of reading more and doomscrolling less.
Any genre recommendations are fine, as long as it's entertaining and fun, though I have been thinking of possibly reading something about a group of friends and/or maybe mystery, or even just slice of life or horror or any other genre i dunno. I just thought I'd ask on this subreddit
