Picked this up randomly and I’m actually enjoying it way more than I thought.
It goes through different female rulers across history and kind of shows how they survived in systems that weren’t exactly built for them. What I like is that it’s not just “queen = inspirational” type writing — it actually talks about the political mess, power struggles, and trade-offs.
Some of the stories are wild. Also made me realize how differently leadership can look depending on the time period and culture.
If you need its audio summary link , let me know.
Also open to similar recommendations — especially political history that isn’t dry.
