I’m looking for some new books, stand alone or series, that feel similar to a series that I’ve recently fallen in love with. This is the Dangerous Damsel’s series by India Holton. I’ve already read all these plus her other series. These are the things that draw me to these books:

-I enjoy the mix of fantasy and historical fiction

-The Regency/Victorian era in particular I enjoy

-A fun cast of side characters, I often enjoy an ensemble cast

-I enjoyed the romance of each of the books, they are typically on more equal footing and don’t tend to rely on misunderstanding for drama

-The style and tone reflects those of my very favorite books, books that take very outlandish, silly situations and worlds with the utmost seriousness (think The Princess Bride, TJ Klune’s books, A Series of Unfortunate Events)

While I would ideally love another book similar in genre to The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels, I’m open to others. The only genre I’ve found that I really don’t connect with is strait horror since I typically enjoy a little humor in my reading. Some of my other favorites are:

-A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet

    -Homegoing

-The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

-The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

    -Geisha, a Life

    -Pride and Prejudice

    -Mansfield Park

-The Meg Langslow cozy mysteries by Donna Andrews
