I'm in a weird transitory part of my life where it feels like I beat becoming a member of the 27 club by this much 🤏. I'm ecstatic to have found work in Alaska for the summer, and I'm preparing for the move from the lower 48 like I don't have time to lose, which I really don't lol. However, it's a pretty long flight there, and I imagine there's plenty of quiet in those endless days I keep hearing about.
What am I reading, reddit?
My go-to favorite book used to be American Gods, but Neil Gaiman kind of ruined it for me. It might now be His Dark Materials. My favorite foreign language author is Clarice Lispector. I love poetry, too: Andrea Gibson, Mary Oliver. I love my nonfiction through a queer lens. My favorite required reading in high school was TKAM. Sorry if the memoir of this post was unnecessary. Just wanted to hear what people would read if they were in my shoes!
