Howdy,
I am looking for books that are crime horror like Saw, Seven, the Batman. Not necessarily gratuitous but that has that grimey feel and wacky killer theme. And/or who-dun-it slashers akin to Scream, Heart Eyes, or I know what you did last summer. An example in book form is, Deathnote, the Los Angeles BB murder case.
I grew up with undiagnosed adhd so reading was hard. Now in my late twenties I am trying to do more but still suck a bit, so bonus points for novellas or books with a good pace.
