I was a book worm growing up but that stopped when I was a teenager and never really picked up reading again until now. Pls recommend me some epic fantasy or sci fi novels.
Some series I loved as a kid: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, guardians of ga’hoole, hunger games
I wanna hold off on book series dune due to wanting to experience the third film with no spoilers

honestly same boat here – was obsessed with books until high school then just… stopped. When I got back into it a couple years ago I found starting with shorter standalone books helped ease me back in before committing to huge series again.
For fantasy, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is amazing if you don’t mind that the third book still isn’t out (classic fantasy reader pain lol). The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison is really good too and complete. For sci fi, maybe try The Martian – it’s got that problem-solving adventure vibe that reminds me of hunger games but in space. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir is another solid pick that’s not too intimidating to jump back into reading with.
