okay so I'm a huge book-tok-y type of books hater ( But at the same time I really loved Ice-breaker, but hated all of the suggested books for people who liked it ), and I need something that also isn't like classic literature that makes me feel like I have to study to get it. As I've said I really liked Ice breaker – not because it was well written or "quality literature" but just because I was supper emotionally attached to the story and the characters.
Anyway. I don't want to be crying or feeling like I had to push through a not so great book by the time I'm done, I just want something simple and sweet and hopefully actually well-done to look forward to after a full day of studying yk?
Like, imagine reading The Office as a romance / slice of life, and it's super wholesome and not like gut-wrenching or overdone… does anyone maybe know a book that might fill that space?
(PS… NO HECTIC SMUTT!… I don't mind a vanilla spicy scene like once or twice throughout the book, but I really don't want to be reading book corn)
(If it helps, I also really liked all the bright places when I was younger, but it's just a bit too sad for me right now.)
Okay, thank you ✨️
