I want to read about creepy orphanages and institutions

Hi there!

I just finished the latest Resident Evil and I adored its beginning section in the sanatorium. The atmosphere of that game is just phenomenal and I was wondering if there is a book that could capture the same type of weird, creepy, mad sort of feeling.

In game, you were able to find medical records of patients and read about strange occurrences within the sanatorium and all of that just fascinated me.

In addition, [spoiler RE9]the game featured an orphanage with child clones that just giggle and creepily walk towards you and I loved that part of the game. It somewhat reminded me of The Promised Neverland, which is also about children in an orphanage which hides lots of secrets.

In short, I want to be creeped out and I don't want to know what's going on. I want to be lead astray and shocked about what I find.

Is there a book like that?
