I'm reading The Overstory rn, and it's like perfectly roasted broccoli. It's delicious but it tastes healthy. I'm exhausted from work, and I'm in the mood for junk food. Suggest me a book that's like candy for your brain but still leans more literary than genre fiction.
Thank you!

I recently read North Woods by Daniel Mason & got very similar feelings as I did while reading The Overstory! Same kind of unique short stories that wound together with a constant setting. If I had to liken it to a junk food, probably the best fudge I ever tried.
Hahah, I was just thinking about junk-food reads. Is that the same as candy? Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is definitely a brain smoothing read.
Gone Girl was my junk food binge recently.
