I'm in a book slump where most things I'm reading are good to mediocre. I gravitate towards fiction, but I'm not picky about which type (i.e. sci fi, fantasy, etc.). I appreciate world building, scientific accuracy, and enjoy books where there's some fantastical element, but the people act in realistic ways. I'm hoping to get a recommendation based on my top three favorite books (in no particular order):
-
Katabasis by R. F. Kuang
-
Circe by Madeline Miller
-
The Power by Naomi Alderman
Other books I've enjoyed include:
– The Goddess of Nothing at All by Cat Rector
– Project Hail Mary (audiobook)
– most of the Dan Brown books
– The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict
Thanks for your recommendations!
