European History broken down into time period sections

Hi all,

I'm looking for history European books that focuses on specific time period. I've recently read a short history of Europe by Simon Jenkins and would like to focus a little bit more on the following time periods

1. Around the time of French revolution to WWI

2. Medieval Europe

3. Ancient Rome

Now , I'm aware that books exists that focus on each of these periods but most of what I found thus far are pretty dense and heavy.

Something that is not more than 350 pages would be ideal. I do understand that you can't focus on multiple periods in a 350 page book and that's fine.

I don't mind purchasing multiple books that focuses on each period that are around 350 pages.

Any suggestion would be lovely.
