I'm looking for books where the girl gets stuck with the bad guy and for some reason he has to keep her alive and safe and he isn't happy about it. Preferably some where he isn't a secret softie once she cracks the shell, like he is a true villain.
I prefer fantasy/sci-fi but am open to really any genre.
