I am looking for suggestions of adult epic fantasy with a female protagonist (bonus points if it has people of colour in it as I am a person of colour so would love to read a tale that has somebody that looks like me but not a necessity)
I've recently read the Tiffany Aching arch of Discworld and adored it (I've also read all of the witches books in the Discworld), I have also read Brandon Sanderson's The Final Empire and whilst I enjoyed Kelsier's part in the book, I found Vin to be the opposite of Tiffany Aching.
I have the rest of the Mistborn books and will continue with them but looking for a book with similar vibes to Tiffany Aching. Also I think I went into Mistborn thinking it was a grown up book but parts of it read like a young adult book and whilst I did enjoy it, I want a more grown up version of it. I knew The Wee Free Men onwards is targeted towards children so my expectations were of that but surprisingly it didn't hold back on themes that could be considered distressing
