My wife's birthday is right around the corner. She has just gotten really into reading. Specifically, she is interested in old-west / frontier romance novels. She just read Kit McBride Gets a Wife per a recommendation, and she thought it was a cute, fun read, but it really didn't have the passion she was looking for.
She does NOT want something smutty with explicit sex scenes or anything like that, but she does want some real romance and passion, which she didn't find in that last book. She also likes a good story and great character development – but that's kinda obvious, lol, but it doesn't need to 100% be romance all the way through.
I'm not really a reader, so I don't even know where to start with looking. Any recommendations?
