A modern day English thriller

Hi! I just happened to think of The Girl on the Train, by Paula Hawkins, which I read years ago. It made me realize I am in the mood for a similar vibe. Set in modern times, suspenseful, takes place in England or nearby. The protagonist or other characters must be at least somewhat likeable. I have a hard time reading books where I can't really relate to any characters. Thanks for your suggestions!
