I study psychology and there’s this class where we study the different types of attachments people have. We’ve discussed how those types are defined by the way our parents raised us, the way they showed us love and the words or attention they gave to us.
Furthermore, we’ve seen how these small acts can change a person’s whole personality, from how they perceive themselves to how they accept others’ love.
That fact got stuck in my head for a while and I’ve come across a question that encompasses my entire life: Is my life defined and written because of how i’ve grown up? I understand we are responsible for our actions and our life decisions, but where’s the limit if those decisions will be based on that upbringing?
I need books and authors that have written about this, or even books that prove otherwise, stories that show how that fact is correct or not at all.PLEASE, thank you!!
