I don’t exactly know how to describe what I am looking for but while reading the book the idea of it being a Pixar movie should come up. Emotional, sentimental and funny might be how you could describe the quintessential Pixar movie.

I feel like a Pixar adaptation of The House in the Cerulean Sea would be a great movie. The way I imagined the characters was very Pixar.
Howls Moving Castle. The movie is based on a novel.
Cozy fantasy is also super popular at the moment. Legends and Lattes is probably the most popular. If you haven’t heard of it it’s about a goblin/ogre lady starting a coffee and pastry shop in a big fantasy kingdom
I would recommend TJ Klune: The House in the Cerulean Sea, In the Lives of Puppets, and Under the Whispering Door.
