One of the best books I've read is Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, which describes the colonisation of Nigeria from the point of a view of the Igbo, how strange and confusing the arrival of Europeans was, and how they affected the traditional institutions and culture. Are there any books like that about the colonisation of the americas, by Indigenous (Native American) writers? Preferably fiction, but non-fiction is also fine.
