I'm currently reading Wait Till Next Year by Mike Lupica and love it, even though I didn't have much love or knowledge of baseball before. The conversational tone and behind-the-scenes tidbits are super compelling. Are there any other sports nonfiction histories that fit the bill? This is a category of writing that I've never looked into before, so I'd love to know if there are any "classics" of the genre I should try. Any/all sports are welcome!
