Trying to get into reading again, looking for suggestions!

Hi everyone! I’m a college student trying to get back into reading this year. I haven’t been much of a reader in the past, and most of what I’ve read recently has been for school rather than for fun. I really want to get more into reading but I honestly don't even know what I'm looking for lol. I have a road trip coming up and would love to find something to read.

I’m not exactly sure what type of books I’m looking for yet, I’m pretty open to anything. In the past, I really enjoyed the Hunger Games series and other sci-fi/mystery type books, but it’s been a while since I’ve read for fun truthfully. So my taste very well could've changed since then.

My goal is to create a reading list that I can work through by the end of the year. I’d love to hear your favorite book recommendations from any genre, since I’m especially interested in discovering new types of books I might enjoy! Thank you 🙂
