Looking for similar stories to Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, I didn't expect how much I would enjoy it and I really like the reversal of usual roles where guy is "damsiel" in distress, doesn't have to be exactly like this of course just "vampire, werewolf, alien, monster girl" and human guy or girl. Recently I have read Carmilla and was quite disappointed with the ending, I still liked it just expected something different.
It can be a book, manga, novel even a movie if something like this comes to mind.
Heroes can be late teens or adults.
Preferably with happy endings but bittersweet is fine aswell
No love triangles unless resolved quickly without much pain/drama
