I’m not sure if non-fiction is the right genre for this, but ever since I became an adult, I have this annoying feeling of art of any form being a waste of time even tho I love it. I love watching series, movies, story games, mystery/thriller books, but I can’t get myself to open them, and when I do, I always feel guilty of not doing something productive. I have a really money-centric mindset and I HATE it and don’t know how to change.
I want to read something that (paradoxically, I know) shows me that appreciating art is as important for a quality life as being productive and working.
