Hi I want to get into reading more and I need a good book to help pull me in. I didn’t like many books assigned in high school so far until I read 1984, which is my favorite so far. I was recommended blood meridian and it’s been a little difficult and tedious to read so far so I’ve been procrastinating (I will revisit it in future). Please give me a recommendation for a classic book that is more for intro readers but still really good. Thank you!

Slaughter-House Five for a book that’s very funny, sci-fi-y and conceptual, or The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter for something more down-to-Earth and character-driven.
If you’d like more dystopian stories:
*Brave New World* by Aldous Huxley
*Anthem* by Ayn Rand
*Fahrenheit 451* by Ray Bradbury
*The Giver* by Lois Lowry
Other classic recommendations:
*Of Mice and Men* by John Steinbeck (and really anything by him)
*Crime and Punishment* by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
if u want to read a beginner friendly classic try frankenstein
