Books including Astrobotoany/Growing plants in harsh conditions

After reading the Martian I've long had this itch to tread more about gardening in space.

I'm also open for books that are include gardening in other harsh conditions like unfriendly weather/terrain, post-apocalypse.

Just plants surviving against all odds in the unlikeliest scenarios.
