I’ve slowly began reading again. Finished Polk’s “The devil all the time” and “knockemstiff”, and Owen’s “Where the crawdads sing”. I intend to make my way through a few books by John Steinbeck and Cormac McCarthy. I enjoy this style but I’m getting burnt out on the grit and sadness.
Two other things I enjoy are books on the smaller side 200 to maybe 400 pages. Especially for a “breather” book like this along with converging plots but I’m open to new things.
