I’m getting sick of reading so many classics. Any suggestions?
In short, I'm looking for books that are less difficult to read but are still not all modern. Not that I find classics that difficult, but I'd like to read with little effort. Preferably not boring, and not romance.
I will give you three suggestions. Tortilla Flat by John Steinbeck is one of my absolute favorites and is a super easy read. If you can get behind some craziness, The Master and Margarita by bulgakov is wild and fun, llike no other book. Finally I think you might enjoy a supurbly written work, a great story and a real classic. Try The Razor’s Edge by Maugham, just wonderful.
