Looking for something I can read while waiting for surgery/ after baby is born. Needs to be something I can put down quickly if baby needs me but I’ll still be able to remember what I just read.

I like memoir – both of celebrities and of normal everyday people.

I like young adult, but not really into fantasy.

I like romance but not “spicy” romance.

I enjoy coming of age stories.

Please no series, I have a 2 year old who doesn’t let me read so I’m hoping to finish 1 book.

If you like YA and coming of age stories, I think you’d like Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell.

This all depends on what kind of postpartum experience you desire. I know with my second I read a lot of emotional/heavy books and enjoyed it. But I couldn’t have done that with my first.

Emo: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Down the Drain (Julia Fox memoir) Elton John’s memoir, and the may lives of mama live (memoir),

Lighter: Claire Pooley Novels, Margot’s got money trouble, TH Klune (cerulean sea), the wedding people, spare or shoe dog (same ghost writer, prince harry/phil knight memoirs), green lights

    3. I’m not usually a romance reader but I find them to be the perfect thing for situations with a lot of distractions where I need to put it down quickly. A couple fun ones: Romanic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld, The Bodyguard by Katherine Center.
