I recently read the Hail Mary Project and I loved it. The subject matter is an area I have studied and I was surprised at the depth it referenced while keeping it surface level and accessible. I looked up this genre and found it is called Hard Science Fiction.

Request

I am asking you for similar but in pre history (anything from the Paleolithic through to Neolithic).

I would like a gripping fiction story and preferably a more recently published book just to be upto date on the science, but this isnt a deal breaker.
