Read Around the World – Share your Favorites

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster here 🙂

I just graduated and I'm trying to get back into reading for pleasure. With that, I decided to make it fun and challenge myself with a read around the world.

Here's where I'd love your help: if you feel comfortable sharing, where are you from, and what is your favorite book from your country? It can be a classic, something contemporary, something everyone in your country reads in school, or just a book you personally love and think represents it well. Alternatively, if you ever read a book from another country that you really loved, I'd love your recommendations.
