I’m looking for book recommendations similar to the Necessary Evils series by Onley James. Also I’ve read pretty much everything they published.
My favorite in the series is Moonstruck (book 3) with Atticus and Jericho. Their relationship dynamic is exactly what I want more of. They basically meet, instantly click, and then it’s just them against the world with no unnecessary drama.
Things I’m specifically looking for:
• MM romance
• Insta love / instant connection
• The couple gets together quickly and stays together
• No third-act breakup
• No “we break up and get back together” trope
• No huge misunderstandings between the couple
• Preferably dark romance, morally gray characters, or criminals/killers
• Possessive/obsessed vibes are great
• I love when the couple is ride or die for each other
Basically I want the kind of relationship where they meet and immediately decide “that’s my person” and then the rest of the story is them dealing with outside problems together rather than fighting each other. I understand there aren’t a lot of books like this but I just can’t get that book out of my head. Thank you 😁

I haven’t read the book/series you’re referencing, but if you’re okay with monster smut, you should *absolutely* try: Soul Eater by Lily Mayne.
It’s the first in a series where each book is a new MM couple’s journey in a dystopian setting. They’re so good.
EDIT: Actually, after more closely reading your criteria, I don’t recall which books in the series have 0 tension between partners 🤔
It’s definitely them against a harsh world, but I can’t guarantee they have 0 trials in getting together. That part I can’t remember clearly enough to say for certain.
