When I was younger I would never read. It was always hard for me with my undiagnosed adhd. I couldn’t focus. I decided I wanted to start reading again recently. I just finished 1984 a couple of weeks ago and I am currently reading “Between Two Fires” (I know crazy genre switch). I have “Red Rising” that I borrowed from a friend so that’s up next. I need more. I can’t get enough of reading right now. I have always been a movie person because of how digestible those are, but books are hooking me. What are some great books with premises that are gonna hook me? More easier reads, but I’m up for a challenge if it’s good enough.

I love to recommend Hunger Games.
And I always recommend switching genres, the crazier the switch the better.
I would say Stephen King is a solid pick if you enjoy horror. His writing style grabs you really quickly so don’t be intimidated by how many pages there might be. You can always start with Carrie or Misery.
I would also suggest some classics like Slaughterhouse Five, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, etc. Have fun! Glad to hear you’ve found the love of reading!
