Hello everyone. I’m facing a bit of a difficult problem I’m trying to pick a book as a gift for someone who has been a great help to me, but I have no idea what to get.
A little background on the person: he is a construction worker currently doing renovations in my home. In the past, he owned a very successful restaurant and knows a lot about wine and the food industry in general. He’s also a fisherman, used to play guitar, was a boxer at some point, works with hand tools as a woodworker, and even managed to breed an almost extinct species of pigeons by researching genetics and applying what he learned.
It’s fair to say he’s truly a jack of all trades, and this seems to come from his natural ability and desire to study and learn, which he applies to every aspect of his life.
He’s kind-hearted but presents himself as a very tough individual. He has little tolerance for nonsense or incompetence and deeply respects people who have made meaningful contributions to life and humanity. One core idea I’ve gathered from him is that anything that supports the natural progression and preservation of life is a noble pursuit.
I hope this information is enough for someone to recommend a good book that might suit him.
Thank you all in advance!
