So for the majority of my life I have avoided First Person POV like the plague, because I just have a hard time getting into the narrative. But recently I’ve discovered I have a much easier time listening to audio books in first person, in fact I can’t stand third person POV audio books with a single narrator. Anyway I’m here looking for First Person POV recs, so please drop me your favorite titles!
I’m open to genre, but I prefer speculative fiction and scifi/fantasy and I’m not much of a fan of authors like Frieda McFadden, K.L. Slater, or Colleen Hoover.
Things I’ve either read or listened to already and loved:
Dungeon Crawler Carl (all of them)
Piranesi
Cage of Souls
Project Hail Mary
All by AG Slatter
Who Fears Death
Books I liked:
The Tainted Cup & Drop of Corruption
I Who Have Never Known Men
Starling House
These were okay, but a little too YA for me:
Firekeeper’s Daughter
Hunger Games trilogy
Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
Books that just weren’t for me:
Lincoln in the Bardo
Future Home of the Living God
A Song to Drown Rivers
Daisy Jones and the Six
