Looking for a book that involves “ancient mystery”.

So my taste in books is all over the place. Here lately I’ve zoomed through the Expeditionary Force series, the Silo books, and a few others.

One thing all of these books have in common is there’s some mystery left behind by an “ancient civilization” or ones who came before. As the books progress the character’s knowledge of what happened in the past starts to grow and the mystery unravels. I like this trope. I’d like to read more that has a similar motif or and even bigger one than in the books I mentioned previously.

If I google and search I’m afraid I’ll spoil myself on the story. Can anyone recommend something that uses a plot device similar to that?
