As the title says, I need your help narrowing down some book ideas. This is my first book club ever and I got the honour of choosing our next read!
I want to present 3 different books for the girls to vote on, so I am looking for a variety of genres. These girls are AVID readers and tend to lean towards more romance/romantasy/fantasy type genres. I want to offer at least one book amongst that genre but it’s hard to find anything they haven’t already read.
A few of the books I am leaning towards currently:
-The Dark Angel by Meredith Anne Pierce.
-Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi.
-either The Bean Trees or Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver.
I’m just not quite sure if I want this to be my final selection, however.
Any fiction genre, anything that can spark interesting conversations. I kind of want to lean away from anything super intense or dark and probably not anything too graphic/spicy. No non-fiction unfortunately, but graphic novels have been okayed by the group.
I would also just love to see suggestions of books that YOU really love and could gush on and on about! 🙂
