Just got into reading to try and combat my phone and screen addiction. Never been a reader before but my family are huge readers, so thought to give it a go and have loved it so far.
Didn’t know where to start, but knew that I loved my horror themes so had to start with Stephen King. So far I have read Salem’s Lot, Elevation, Pet Sematary, and plan to read Misery next.
I know there is so much to the world of books other than King, but have no idea where to go next. What I particularly like most about King is his way of developing a sense of place and a sense for the characters. I find his writing style so easy to fall into and build a vivid world in my mind. I also love the dark themes of his books, and don’t think I could ever get caught up in some romance sort of novel.
Would love some suggestions as to where to go next, I have my eye on authors such as Lee Child and Robert Harris as my dad is very keen on his books, and to my knowledge he has decent taste.
Let me know what King books to read next, and what authors I should look into for the future.
