I haven't read an f/m romance book in a very long time and the reason why I've drifted from the genre is that often characters are written in a very superficial way and Its a turn off for me when books are extremely smutty .
and I usually dislike how the mmc is always very cold , emotionally constipated and overly dominant while the fmc is overly submissive I like when there is no power imbalance where the characters are on the same page in the dynamic they have
and I don't mind the book not having a plot if it's character driven and really shows the lives of the characters and the problems they're dealing with – characters who have depth is what I want
so do you have any recommendations?
