My brother passed away and I'm finding reading right now quite difficult. It might sound silly, but the only content I can mentally digest is children's books. I just read Poppy and it was charming.
Suggest to me some kids chapter books that can help me through this difficult time. I know some of the more highly rated kids books have death, so please try to avoid those. TIA.

My friend, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I’m in no way comparing losses but after my parents passed, I couldn’t read again for about a year & instead watched mindless horror movies, so I completely understand about not being able to focus. And it’s not silly, it’s searching for comfort.
I don’t know if they’re something you’re interested in but maybe the Chronicles of Narnia?
