I really enjoyed the Wheel of Time adaptation but there are so, so, so many books… And I've heard the female characters aren't as well developed in the books as they are in the show. I would love any recommendations of "strong female lead" high fantasy stand-alones (or a duology is fine, trilogy is pushing it). Smut or no smut is fine! I typically read speculative fiction (favorites are Erin Morganstern and Alix Harrow).
