I usually read on my Kindle but I recently started listen to Animal Farm on my commute to work and was wondering if there are any books you guys would recommend that are better experienced as an audiobook?
Ever since Pacey did Abercrombie’s books, iy would be tough to read them.
Also, Serkis’s reading of the Lord of the Rings.

Dungeon Crawler Carl.
The Wheel of Time series
Everything by Yahtzee Croshaw.
Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo (generally everything with a first-person narrator that is going insane)

What kinds of books do you like? If you like political classics like Animal Farm, Clare Danes narrated The Handmaid’s Tale and it’s really good.
I do second the recommendation of Dungeon Crawler Carl and Project Hail Mary. I feel like those audiobooks really embody how that format can benefit a book. The narrators really add something special to the stories.

I agree with DCC and PHM, although I also love Ready Player One and the Martian.
Harry Potter has a few narration options (all good) and The Count of Monte Cristo is a great more serious and time consuming option.
ETA: I read dozens of audiobooks every year, and my biggest suggestion is to avoid things from cultures very dissimilar to yours, early on. An example: I’m an American and my favorite novel is Shogun, but the names and words are VERY challenging to keep track of without a visual reference.
Enjoy!
