So like the title says, I was wondering if you guys knew of any book that had a cool kind of magic system with a good plot (can be any kind of plot don’t really care) that is immersive and has little to no spice in it, I am cool with romance, like give me a enemies to lovers and I die, but I really don’t like spice so, got any suggestions?

The Curse of Chalion by Lois Macmaster Bujold.
A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik
War for the Oaks by Emma Bull.
Blood over bright haven
Mistborn series
The Golden Compass – YA
Name of the Wind – adult (references sex but not explicitly)
The Powder Mage trilogy
Easy to read, gripping plot, big battles, rule of cool characters.
On a Pale Horse by Piers Anthony
The main character accidentally kills Death and has to take his place.
The magic/world building is fun too. It’s a mix of magic and technology and feels grounded while still introducing fantastical elements.
It works great as a stand alone book, but is part of a longer series.
